Luis Caballero

Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, a melting pot for Mexican-American culture, Luis grew up in the best of both worlds. Despite his love for El Paso, Luis’ adventurous spirit led him to pack his bags and move to New Hampshire to complete his high school education. After graduating from boarding school, Luis returned to his roots and attended Texas Tech University. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in International Relations and a BA in Spanish. Throughout his post-grad, Luis was intentional about giving back to the community and finding a fulfilling career. That’s where VELA came in. As the Bilingual Communications Manager, Luis is grateful to be able to put his skills to use and reach audiences across different platforms for the greater good of the VELA community. In his downtime, you can find Luis practicing his French, looking for plans on WhenWhereWhat, or searching Austin’s thrift stores for hidden gems!
