Navigating an autism diagnosis can feel confusing and overwhelming. That’s why VELA partnered with Child Neurology & Consultants of Austin (CN&CA) to offer a workshop led by fellow parents of children with autism. Together, we’ll help you take the first steps on this journey and support you in building the best possible future for your child.

About the Workshop

  • This Autism: How to Begin workshop is a collaboration between Child Neurology & Consultants of Austin (CN&CA) and VELA, designed for parents whose child has recently received an autism diagnosis at one of their clinics.

  • 1.5-hour virtual session- to connect with other families, learn more about autism, and explore key services and resources. 

  • Led by parents of autistic children, and is supportive, practical, and grounded in real-life experience. 

  • Offered quarterly in English or Spanish, at no cost.

  • This workshop is interactive and will not be recorded. 

  • Must register to attend.
